VatanCar is an online car marketplace that connects buyers and sellers across the Gulf region. For ordinary classifieds we are not a dealer or a party to transactions between users; for a separately requested managed auction, we process only the data needed to act as the customer's limited bidding intermediary. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account details — the email address and phone number you provide when you register or sign in.
• Listings — the car details, photos, price, and description you publish, along with the approximate location (country and city) you select.
• Messages — the content of messages you exchange with other users through the platform.
• Managed auction requests — your confidential bid cap, contact details, consent record, source lot, deposit/payment references, status, and identity or authorization documents you choose to upload for the request.
• Device location (mobile app only) — when you use our mobile app, you may grant it permission to access your device's location. We use this only to show import, customs, and delivery terms and costs for the region you are in, and to match you to the nearest service area. Granting location is optional, you can decline it or turn it off at any time in your device settings, and we do not continuously track you or store this location to your profile.
• Usage and device data — basic technical information such as your browser type, pages viewed, and an approximate location derived from your IP address (used only to determine country and city).
• Cookies — small files stored on your device, as described below.

How we use your data

We use your data to create and secure your account, publish and manage your listings, deliver messages between buyers and sellers, show region-specific import and delivery information when you grant location access in the app, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to support requests, operate managed auction requests (including identity checks, deposits, bidding, settlement, collection and refunds), and improve and analyze how the platform performs.

Cookies and consent

VatanCar uses cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, improve your experience, and analyze traffic. When you first visit, a banner lets you Accept or Decline non-essential cookies. Essential cookies needed to run the site are always active. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the cookies in your browser.

Third parties

We share data only with service providers that help us operate the platform:

• Google — if you choose "Sign in with Google," Google shares your basic profile details with us to create your account.
• Telegram — if you choose "Sign in with Telegram," Telegram shares the profile details and, only with your permission, the verified phone number needed to create or connect your account.
• Apple — if you choose "Sign in with Apple," Apple shares the name and email details needed to create or connect your account. You may use Apple's private email relay.
• Auction sources and operational providers — when needed to execute a managed auction request, we share the minimum necessary identity, authorization, payment or collection information with the relevant auction house, bank, inspection, transport or government service.
• Image storage — listing photos are hosted with a cloud storage provider.
• Email — a delivery provider sends account, verification, and notification emails.

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data if required by law.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you confirm account deletion in the app, your account and user-owned data are removed immediately. Auction documents are access-controlled and are removed with the account unless a longer period is legally required. Transaction and payment records may be retained only for the period required by law, accounting, fraud prevention or dispute handling.

In the app, open Menu → Delete account (or Settings → Delete account) to permanently delete the account immediately after confirmation. The same self-service flow is also available at https://vatancar.com/data-deletion.

Children's Privacy

VatanCar is not intended for children under the age required by applicable laws. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent.
